What Are PDO Thread Lifts?

A PDO thread lift refreshes your appearance by elevating the skin without requiring surgery.

Doctors utilize a durable, flexible material called polydioxanone to create a supportive structure under the skin. This method is excellent for achieving a youthful look and works well on the face, neck, hands, and décolletage.

It’s an ideal choice if you desire a lift but prefer to avoid surgical procedures.

During the process, the doctor inserts a slender PDO thread through a small cut and uses a “screw” method to firm and raise the skin. Your body will naturally absorb these threads over time.

Thread Lifting Areas Of Interest

Nose thread lifts, neck thread lifts, fox eye thread lifts, and face thread lifts are cosmetic treatments that improve facial features without invasive surgery.

These procedures use medical-grade threads to lift and tighten the skin, giving you a younger look.

1.Nose Thread Lift

A nose thread lift reshapes the nose, creating a straighter and more defined look without surgery. It offers a fast, less invasive alternative for anyone wanting to enhance their nose contour.

2.Neck Thread Lift

A neck thread lift tightens sagging skin on the neck, smoothing out wrinkles for a firmer, more youthful appearance. This procedure rejuvenates the neck area with minimal downtime required.

3.Fox Eye Thread Lift

The fox eye thread lift draws inspiration from the almond-shaped eyes of a fox, giving the eyes and brows a lifted, sleek appearance. It’s a popular choice for those wanting an exotic or youthful look by lifting the outer corners of the eyes.

4.Face Thread Lift

A face thread lift revitalizes the whole face by tightening sagging skin, smoothing out wrinkles, and improving the face’s overall shape. This method provides a broad anti-aging solution, enhancing facial looks with little recovery time needed.

Thread lifts serve as a less invasive option compared to traditional surgery, featuring faster recovery and instant outcomes. They are a great choice for anyone aiming to boost their appearance with minimal downtime.

Types Of PDO Thread Lifts

Thread lifts can be performed on different parts of your body.

In Turkey, face threading uses three main types of threads for various procedures:

Mono Threads:

These are the strongest and most common threads for PDO lifts. They’re great for upper eyelid lifts because they’re thick yet minimize scarring.

You’ll also find them used for lifting the neck, décolletage, hands, and even in facelifts, often paired with a stainless-steel screw for added support.

Screw Threads:

This method involves inserting a screw thread on each side of the face, securing it under the skin, and then tightening it to lift the face.

It’s a quick procedure with minimal downtime but might cost more since it typically requires two separate sessions.

Cog Threads:

Made from a thinner, more flexible polyester filament, cog threads are less likely to scar compared to mono threads, making them ideal for upper eyelid and eyebrow lifts.

However, they might not offer enough support for some areas, like the upper eyelid alone.

The Benefits Of A Facelift With Threads

  1. A non-surgical procedure that does not require incisions, stitches, or general anesthesia.
  2. The results are great and last for several years.
  3. Most of the threads used for a facelift are soluble in tissues, so they do not pose a risk to the skin.
  4. After the effect of the procedure wears off, the skin is left in a better condition than before.
  5. It not only works to tighten the skin but also helps to thicken it for those suffering from thinning.
  6. It is used to tighten all parts of the face, such as the cheeks, eyebrows, lower jaw, and neck.
  7. Its costs are low compared to the surgeries used for the same purpose.
