LASIK and Laser Eye Surgery (Refractive Surgery)
Refractive error can be managed through the use of eyeglasses and contact lenses. However, refractive surgery using laser can reshape the cornea to correct the vision. Common vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia can be treated by lasers very effectively.
Currently, LASIK laser procedure is the most popular refractive surgery. Depending on the patients conditions other types laser procedures and intraocular lens procedure are available at our associate hospitals. If you are not a good candidate for LASIK or PRK, you may be eligible for alternative options, such as LASEK and implantable lenses.
